Danitha Capashen

Danitha Capashen is a distant relative of Captain Gerrard Capashen, living in the modern era of Dominaria.

Description

Danitha is the daughter of Aron Capashen, who is the head of the highest house of Benalia. She is a Benalish Knight with a warrior bearing, but a calm character. Her hair is pulled back and the sides are shaved to better fit under a helmet. Her face is tanned and weathered. She is left-handed.

History

Danitha was trained from a young age in both diplomacy and swordplay. Danitha refused Jhoira's request to become part of the new Weatherlight crew, stating that she was needed to defend Benalia against the Cabal. Her younger brother Raff volunteered in her stead.

Dominaria United

When Danitha and Raff's father was captured by Phyrexians, she led the effort to rescue him with Jaya Ballard and Ajani Goldmane. After it was revealed that Aron had been compleated, Danitha killed him and assumed his role as leader of House Capashen. She was present at the Battle of the Mana Rig.

As leader of the Benalish army, Danitha focused her efforts on defending Benalia from Josu Vess and the Cabal.

In a battle with Josu at the Blighted Fields in Korlich Pass, Josu struck her with Whisper's blade. She and her brother Rafwyn Capashen both began to feel the effects of the Legacy Curse. In her weakness, she was confined to the city, but continued to oversee military operations. After the eventual defeat of Whisper and destruction of Josu, Raf was able to use Whisper's dagger to break the curse afflicting the Capashen bloodline.
