Battle of Tarwin's Gap

The Battle of Tarwin's Gap was an engagement between the forces of Shienar and invading Shadowspawn. Although the Shienaran forces were severely outnumbered, they emerged victorious when Rand al'Thor emerged as Dragon Reborn at the Eye of the World and destroyed much of the Shadowspawn army.

Prior to the battle, the situation had looked bleak to the Shienarans, with Agelmar Jagad being pessimistic about the chances of victory. Nevertheless, the Shienarans were determined to either stop the invasion at Tarwin's Gap, or die trying. In the end, the Shienaran army had to do very little fighting before the Shadowspawn were forced to flee.
