The artifact was in a broken state and was of lesser power than his dragon engines, but was used for a power play around the Peace Talks at Kroog. He rolled the machine up along with one of his dragon engine, a demonstration of power at the peace talks. The Yotians suspected it might be a kind of Trojan Horse trap, but when the peace talks turned sour, the machine rolled out into the desert again. After weeks of surveying, Urza's Lieutenant Sharaman discovered the machine to the southwest of the Sword Marches. Urza quickly assembled a team of ornithopter pilots who flew to attack. The war machine had been used as a lure, however, as the Fallaji camp was completely abandoned. The war machine was automatic, firing at targets it could track across the sky. It shot down every single ornithopter save Urza's before he managed to bomb the machine, which then exploded powerfully. The war machine was in a trap and a distraction from Mishra's real target - Kroog. In this manner, Urza was completely absent from the Fall of Kroog, which was a resounding victory for Mishra.
