Battle
After Morgoth's overwhelming victory at Nírnaeth Arnoediad, Orc forces began to roam freely in northern Beleriand, seriously threatening the Elven kingdoms in the central and southern regions. This led to clashes between the Doriath Elves and Orcs on the northern Doriath borders. These encounters gradually escalated into fierce battles. The Orcs, in particular, constantly raided Dimbar. Around this time, Túrin turned seventeen. He requested permission from King Thingol of Doriath, donned his sword and dwarf-made Dragon-helm of Dor-lómin, to fight in northern Doriath. He befriended Beleg, one of Doriath's most famous soldiers, and together they quickly managed to completely drive the Orcs from the borders. Because of his successes, especially at Dimbar, Túrin's name became a source of fear and panic among the Orcs. Upon returning to Doriath after the war, Túrin accidentally caused Saeros' death and fled the kingdom to avoid trial.
