History
On his accession to the throne of Gondor Turambar moved quickly against the Easterlings who had slain his father and invaded his people's lands. Gondor and the Easterling armies clashed somewhere, perhaps to the north of Mordor, and Gondor emerged victorious.
Aftermath
After the victory, the armies of Gondor moved eastward into Rhûn and proceeded to conquer the area which would become part of Gondor.
