Life wandering the harsh lands of Zakhara transformed Al-Badia into a hearty people, most being able to not only survive, but thrive on meager sustenance. Poor by most common standards, Al-Badia considered themselves to be the richest people throughout the Land of Fate because of their independence and freedom which they cherished above everything else.
