This issue takes place simultaneously with the epilogue of B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth #147, which was also that series' final issue. The photo taken of Abe at the beginning of this issue appears in the BPRD story, and the crew sent out in the BPRD issue appears at the end of this issue.
The two finales were intended to come out around the same time but, due to delays, Abe Sapien's final issue came out months ahead of B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth's finale.
