Hargoth is the capital of the province of Coastlund in western Solamnia. The small city is situated south of Godnest, west of Korval, and north of Gander, all of which it is connected to by roads. In the Coastlund region, Hargoth is a major port and trading center with its large port. The city has been led by the same family for generations, and the current Lord Hargoth during the War of the Lance was a heavy-handed, but good man. Even though the Knights of Solamnia only kept a small presence there and had no real power in the government, Lord Hargoth would almost always side with them even if it wasn't the most popular idea to the people there.
