Yarus is a village situated in the Vingaard Mountains, and located in the province of Palanthas in Solamnia. It has the Knight's High Road run right by it between Palanthas and the High Clerist's Tower. The village is comprised of nothing more than an old tower and a few taverns for food and a bed before their final leg of their journey to Palanthas.
History
Prior to the Cataclysm, Yarus was nothing more than a tower for the Lord High Cleric Yarus. He would keep prisoner Kurnos, and together they would play Khas all the time. Following his death, the tower was converted into an inn.
Age of Motals
After the fall of the High Clerist's Tower to the Dark Knights, business in the village of Yarus was cut in half. Besides the tower that serves as an inn named Yarus Inn, there are three more taverns that sit around the tower.
