Frostgrave's setting is the ruined, magically frozen city of Felstad, once a magical metropolis, now a treacherous wasteland of icy ruins, undead, and treasure, where rival wizards lead warbands in dangerous expeditions to plunder forgotten arcane secrets. Players act as those powerful mages, venturing into this perpetual winter to find lost artifacts and magical power, making it a highly customizable dungeon-crawl/skirmish game ideal for narrative campaigns.
