Zalgara is a region in eastern Valusia, marked by a range of forested mountains extending north and south along the Valusian border. The mountains themselves are known as the Zalgara Mountains and inhabited by hill people who are friendly towards other Valusians. Many of the soldiers who served in the Valusian Red Slayers are in fact Zalgaran Hillmen, valued for their strength and endurance. East of the mountains is the Camoonian Desert and the nation of Zarfhaana.
Though the Zalgaran hillmen are Valusians, they regarded themselves almost as a different race.
Located in the Zalgara Mountains is the black stone castle known as the Skull of Silence. It's situated at the top of a lone hill, rising from the surrounding plateaus.
