Black Legion

In the Kull stories, the Black Legion was an elite infantry force in the army of Valusia during the reign of Kull. The legion was commanded by Gromel until he was slain by Kull in a failed assassination plot against the king.

In the Conan tales, the Black Legion is an elite infantry force in the army of Aquilonia. The legion was commanded by Gromel (who is similar in most respects to the original Gromel from the Kull stories) until he was slain by King Conan in a failed assassination plot against the king.
