The Date of Tribute was a recursive event that happened one day of each year in ancient Corondor on Dominaria.

Centuries after Sivitri's War and following the Blackblade–Dihada War and his abandonment by Geyadrone Dihada, Sol'Kanar the Swamp King initiated the Date of Tribute. Once a year, the Kingdom of Khone and the Kingdom of Shikar had to send tributes to Sol'Kanar, including food, slaves, material goods, and knowledge. If these things were not sent, Sol’Kanar threatened to destroy the kingdoms. The tribute was later changed to just sending one spellcaster from each kingdom, who Sol’Kanar hoped would be able to summon the last Scarzam Dragon. The Date of Tribute culminated in the sending of the two spellcasters Gydolien Mor and Chondaeh, starting the Dragon War.
