The Fall of Castle Melmereth was an event in 4195 AR instigated by the Jared Carthalion and his crew, seeking the downfall of Ravidel, who was in control of Castle Melmereth.
Description
Melmereth had formerly been Adam Carthalion's, Jared's father's, the seat of rule, and thus was the Shadow Mage's birthright. The battle ended when Liana of Minorad summoned a Shivan Dragon, who Ravidel mistook for the deceased Elder Dragon, Chromium Rhuell. The dragon went on a rampage, destroying much of the castle. Although Jared suffered the loss of his ally Nikko and his mentor Ezer, as well as the destruction of his ancestral home, the crew effectively caused the ruin of Ravidel's rule over Corondor, even if the planeswalker himself escaped alive.
