The Start of Argivian Reckoning marks the year when Urza and Mishra were born, on the first and last day of the same year, respectively. In the old dating system used in Terisiare, this was the year 912 Penregon Founding. This older dating system was still in use even after the Brothers' War had ended, but was gradually replaced by the Argivian Reckoning when the full scope of the effects of the toll the war had taken on the continent became understood during the Dark Age. It would be 10 years before the first recorded event involving the two brothers when they joined Tocasia's digsite.
