The Master Assassin of Mars—Chapter 7: Climb to Freedom

John Carter and Dejah Thoris are sentenced to death by Gar Karus for the death of the evil Orovar Jeddak, Chan Tomar. In accordance with Karanthorian law, the couple are guilty of a capital transgression and must pay with their lives. Using a hidden weapon, John Carter creates an escape route and the two disappear. On their journey, John Carter recounts some of his history from Earth.
