Description

The Old Empires (also called the Old Kingdoms ) was the collective term used by most people to describe the empires of Chessenta , Mulhorand , and Unther in east Faerûn , owing to their origins being traced back to thousands of years before the Time of Troubles .

Chessenta was a confederation of city-states bound by common culture and mutual defense, but for most of its history wasn’t truly a unified nation and the Chessentan cities were often at war with one another. Chessenta was one of the so-called Old Empires of Faerûn .

Mulhorand
Mulhorand ( pronounced : / m ə l ˈ h oʊ r ɑː n d / muhl-HOH-rand ) was one of the Old Empires in eastern Faerûn . The Mulhorandi were among the peoples brought to Toril from another world by the Imaskar Empire to serve as slaves. After countless praises, Ao contacted Ptah who led a part of the Mulhorandi pantheon to Toril. Ironically, their rival in the millennia to come was another human tribe captured by the Imaskari at the same time, which founded the empire of Unther .

Alamber Sea
As of 1489 DR , the waters of the Alamber Sea were bordered by Mulhorand to the east and Unther and Tymanther to the west. The nation of Thay bordered the Alamber to the north, except where it connected to the larger Inner Sea . The northernmost island of Alaor served as the center of Thayvian naval power in the region.
