Overview
Tyche is a whimsical goddess of luck with many faces: she is the giver of good fortune, the bringer of misfortune and a personification of inescapable destiny. However, over the ages, Tyche's relationship with the rest of the Olympian pantheon has become strained and she has become increasingly estranged from her fellow deities.
Description
Tyche appears as a slim, agile human woman, wearing a sky-blue tunic and carrying either a cornucopia (horn of plenty) or a rudder.
Possessions
Tyche possesses a small mysterious blue sphere that can absorb a single melee attack per round, and reflect the total damage of that attack on any opponent within touching distance.
Holy symbol
Tyche's symbol is a red pentagram.
Favored weapon
Tyche wields a short sword.
Realm
Great Wheel cosmology
In the Great Wheel cosmology, Tyche resides within the planar realm of Olympus, which is located on Arvandor (also known as Olympus), the first layer of the Olympian Glades of Arborea. Tyche maintains her relatively small realm among those of the rest of her pantheon on Olympus, centered on a grand villa and gambling hall.
Olympian cosmology
In the Olympian cosmology, Tyche resides within the outer planar realm of Olympus, a great mountain which stands at the center of the world. This mighty peak rises so high above the world, that its heights form a distinct planar realm. It serves as home to the majority of the Olympian deities, not including Hades, and each maintains a personal domain in the realm.
Worship
Some followers of Tyche believe that life is essentially a game of chance, where every outcome is determined by the roll of a dice. They offer prayers and sacrifices to Tyche in the hope that she will nudge the dice in their favour, ensuring success in their lives.
Others believe that the course of their lives have been laid out by the gods, and that nothing can be altered - except by Tyche. They believe that she can liberate them from the fate that lies before them, freeing them from the tyrannical whims of destiny and allowing them to forge their own destiny.
The priests of Tyche tend to their congregations in their small temples and elsewhere: taverns, gambling houses, streets, and anywhere else that the people might call on Tyche for luck. They lead the people in prayer and offer sacrifices in Tyche's name, and are popular among the common people.

Greatspace
The inhabitants of Greatspace revere the gods and goddesses of the Greek pantheon, especially Zeus, and as such Tyche can be considered a native deity.
Realmspace
Ages ago Tyche entered Realmspace and joined the Faerûnian pantheon on Toril. A fickle deity whose attention brought calamity as well as reward, Tyche wandered the Realms without care, seldom concerning herself with anything or anyone for more than a moment. As luck would have it, she became embroiled in a war between deities known as the Dawn Cataclysm, initiated by her paramour Lathander, the Morning Lord. Unfortunately, Tyche was corrupted by Moander, the god of rot and decay, and when she was confronted by her lover, as well as Azuth, Lord of Spells, and Selûne, the Moonmaiden, she was sundered into two, lesser deities: Tymora, goddess of good fortune, and Beshaba, the Maid of Misfortune.
