Description
Known as Velasti in the elven tongue, this type of "armored" bamboo was native to the cluster-world Greela in Greyspace, and was sold as a commodity by the elves.
Uses
Velasti was used throughout the Known Spheres as a building material and in the construction of certain elven musical instruments. Military scientists from Shou Lung on Toril in Realmspace were also believed to be purchasing vast quantities of velasti from elven middlemen for use in the development of smokepowder-propelled rockets.
