Description
A gnomewrecker appears as an ornate walking stick capped with a metallic head resembling that of a scowling gargoyle.
Powers
There are only a dozen such devices known to exist - and all are considered priceless, and are in great demand, especially in Krynnspace. By pointing the gargoyle's head at a gnomish device and speaking the command word "stop," the gnomewrecker causes the device to cease functioning. The device is rendered completely inoperable, and no amount of effort can get it to work again - ever.
History
The first gnomewreckers were created nearly three decades ago by a stoic human wizard who was frustrated by the creations and machinations of his gnomish neighbors. The wizard, who has since died, is believed to have created at least 12 of these prized magic items, each one with 60 charges. Other wizards are reportedly working feverishly to duplicate the gnomewreckers, as the original items are very difficult to recharge.
