Hiddukel the Prince of Lies is a god of greed, lies, thieves, wealth and secrets from the crystal sphere known as Krynnspace. Hiddukel is the divine personification of exploitation, and beguiles mortals with promises of greatness, and encourages them to profit from the misfortune of others and to strive towards material and spiritual wealth at the cost of those who stand in their way.
Overview
Hiddukel is the patron deity of dishonest businessmen, crooked merchants, petty thieves, and decadent aristocrats. Hiddukel is a consummate egoist, interested in nothing but himself, and capable of instilling that same selfish desire in those whose lives he touches. His poisonous lies have led many people to carry out treacherous and vile acts in the name of his supposed Truth. A coward at heart, Hiddukel has contingencies in place, ready to go, if and when his latest scheme is discovered. Hiddukel has made every effort to court, coerce, and convince the other Dark Gods of his value as a dealmaker. As pacts and oaths are sworn and bound, Hiddukel lurks in the background, investing just a little of his divine essence into them, ready at a moment’s notice to swoop in and sow corruption and wickedness.
Description
Hiddukel favors the form of a horned, red-skinned man in black robes, with a barbed tail that curls out from under the hem. He also appears as a bumbling merchant with loose lips and a tight purse, and as a roguish aristocrat or courtier, whose very presence upsets and overturns agreements and counsels.
Hiddukel is quite adept at assuming forms that allow him to work his honey-tongued way into various organizations, families, empires, and even other Holy Orders. Often, the forms he assumes are nondescript and non-confrontational. Hiddukel’s most villainous act is to assume the form of a loved one or somebody close to a powerful or influential figure, usually stealing the guise at the end of a dagger. Race and gender are of no consequence to the Prince of Lies.

Worship
Very few people willingly become a priest of Hiddukel, and he usually resorts to duping or coercing a person into serving his church. Hiddukel prizes treachery in his priests, even when they turn against him. His priests are required to pursue and attain wealth by any means necessary, and must seek to get the best of everyone they negotiate with.
