This article is about the deity Morgion; if you are looking for the moon of the same name see here.
Morgion the Black Wind is a god of disease, famine, poison, vermin, decay and suffering from the crystal sphere known as Krynnspace. Morgion is the divine personification of decay, reveling in the dissolution, corrosion, and suffering of mortals, both physical and mental, until they are reduced to their most basic forms.
Overview
Morgion is the god of diseases of the mind and body alike, and to a greater extent personifies the inexorable decay of all things, from individuals to relationships, and even communities and nations. Morgion triumphs through the dissolution, corrosion, and suffering that people are subject to, for in this way he achieves his goals. A quick death, an easy retirement, or a healthy and wholesome life is anathema to Morgion. Fear, recognition of pain and woe, and the eventual appeal of the diseased to Morgion’s non-existent mercy drive the world forward, spreading his unholy message: only the strong will survive, for to survive is to suffer, and to suffer is to know truth.
Description
Morgion assumes various forms, but typically appears as a hooded humanoid of indeterminate race, with glowing red eyes and a fearsome aura. He also appears as a warrior in rusted and pitted armor and a torn cloak, bearing a heavy notched blade; or as an almost-skeletal, wide-eyed figure bound in chains, screaming fevered obscenities and curses. His most fearsome forms include a monstrous otyugh, and a vaguely humanoid figure made up of swarms of vermin, either rats, insects, or flies, with red spots of light in place of eyes.
All of Morgion’s various forms are either jaundiced, haggard, crazed, or simply foul-spirited, forcing him to manifest in the fading light of day and under the cover of night.

Worship
Morgion's priesthood is composed of slaves. Morgion waits until disease grabs hold of a person, and then offers them a deal: respite from the disease in exchange for life-long servitude. Those who accept are "cured" through the power of Morgion, though the price they are forced to pay is often more than they can bear, as they are sent out into the world to infect others with disease, so that Morgion recruit more followers.
Cultists of Morgion gather in cells, usually with no more than three members, who are tasked with spreading disease and suffering everywhere they go. Cultists of Morgion work in secret lest they be destroyed, and can be found anywhere, from large cities to small villages, from elven lands to minotaur islands.
