This article is about the deity Takhisis; if you are looking for the moon of the same name see here.
Takhisis, the Queen of Darkness is a goddess of domination, tyranny, hatred, darkness and evil dragons from the crystal sphere known as Krynnspace. Takhisis is the divine personification of control, subjecting mortals to her overbearing will, and encouraging them to grow and improve strictly in accordance with her plans for conquest. Takhisis demands mortals surrender to dominance, relinquishing power to those who are greater and more influential, and in turn command and subjugate others, forging an unbroken chain of power and fealty.
Overview
Takhisis was, together with Paladine, called forth from the Beyond to act as a custodian of the world. She allied herself with other wicked gods and swiftly realized that mortals were easily influenced and dominated. With her fearsome chromatic dragon clans following her lead, she has staged numerous attempts throughout history to dominate and conquer the world.
Fully aware that she is the ultimate power among the gods of darkness, Takhisis feels that she alone has the divine right to one day bring all of Krynnspace under her draconic wings. As Queen of Darkness, Takhisis rules the night and infiltrates the daylight, always waiting for her next opportunity to seize the world’s throne.
Takhisis summoned Sargonnas, the Red Condor, from the Beyond to serve as her consort, and together they have a daughter, Zeboim and a son, Nuitari.
Description
Her greatest form is that of the Many-Headed Dragon, which incorporates five heads, one for each of the chromatic dragon clans. However, Takhisis rarely invests this much power in one of her manifestations without it being part of a larger plot to conquer the world. She usually prefers to appear in one of her other forms, including that of the Dark Warrior, a menacing figure clad from head to toe in midnight-black scale armor, or the Temptress, a darkly seductive woman in silken robes and a jeweled headdress.
When confronting a mortal foe, Takhisis has been known to manifest as a face within a reflective surface, usually that of a woman, surrounded by five scaled dragon heads. When she is challenged or after she has delivered her sentence against her foe, she sends a fetch through the reflective surface to punish her victim.
Wherever Thakisis appears, the light dims and the temperature drops to a chilly degree as a reminder of the extent of her power.
