After the killing of Eacoathildarandus, the Crag was taken over by a variety of monsters. Perytons and wyverns vied for the high ledges to use as perches, while giant slugs and worse things overtook the dark interior of the mountain.

The Ridge was an exposed elevated fault line nearly 280 feet tall at its center point. The cliffs appeared abruptly out of the surrounding land, and were climbable but challenging. Walking along the Ridge was difficult, as it was a craggy surface and covered with sparse vegetation.

Shatar was a small fishing village in northern Amn .

These two crags were not among the tallest in the range, yet they were the most difficult mountains to climb in the Cloud Peaks because of their treacherously steep slopes and the ice sheets covering them. They appeared as two stone needles, so steep were their sides. The area was home to unusually harsh cold weather, with the passes regularly blocked by blizzards during winter that completely isolated Nashkel from the rest of the realm.
