The road was well maintained within Thesk and Rashemen , and was considered an easy if not pleasurable route to travel. Inns and towns were spaced along the route so that caravans travelling at the pace of a slow packhorse could expect to reach a place to rest each night. However, once it entered the Endless Wastes it was nothing more than a series of stone markers, each barely visible from the last.
