Palace of the Sovereign
During the reign of Sovereign Uriel Tal'Dorei II, the guards of the Palace of the Sovereign and the royal family were uniformed with red cloaks, brass armor, and spears. They guarded the giant wooden doors blocking entry for anyone who came unannounced. Beyond, a large hallway led people down to the Throne Room and the Council Chambers.
Council Chambers
To the left was the Council Chamber where the sovereign met with the Tal'Dorei Council to discuss matters of importance within the city of Emon and the rest of the region. The room was round with wooden floors and forest green colored walls. Various fine weapons from different cultures were mounted on the walls for display that dated back centuries. Tapestries ran across depicting scenes from the beginnings of civilization to famous battles that were fought over the course of centuries.
Throne Room
The Throne Room itself was a giant glass-domed room to allow light in. During the battle to free the sovereign and his family from Shades that had possessed them prior to the stream, giant covers had been placed over in such a way as to leave the room incredibly darkened so as not to damage the evil spirits within the royal family.
Cloudwatch Palace
Cloudwatch Palace contains the meeting chambers for the Tal'Dorei Council, as well as dining halls and guest quarters for dignitaries visiting the city. Much of the palace is a museum showcasing regalia and art pieces that survived the destruction wrought by Thordak. The castle also contains a multitude of teleportation circles that allow council members quick travel between their home and palce of work. For instance, one leading to Whitestone is often used by Vex'ahlia de Rolo.
History
During the reign of the Kingdom of Drassig, the peak of the Cloudtop District of Emon was home to a monstrous citadel from which the King Warren Drassig and his sons (Neminar and Trist) ruled. Over time, Zan Tal'Dorei and her descendants transformed the citadel into an elegant palace.
On 26 Duscar 810 PD, the Chroma Conclave attacked Emon. The red dragon Thordak destroyed the palace and made the Cloudtop District his roost. After Thordak's defeat at the hands of Vox Machina, the Tal'Dorei Council met in the Citrine Garrison until the palace was rebuilt after 812 PD with the aid of the League of Miracles.
