Around 812 PD, many travel along the roadway, although because of its import, bandits and other dangers are common threats. As a result, travelers often hire caravans and guards for their journeys. It is also one of the main avenues through which contraband from Stilben, the easternmost city along the road, is smuggled further into the realm. As of 836 PD, the Silvercut Roadway is the safest way to avoid being beset by monsters but still receives close attention from highwaymen and bandits.
The roadway is named for the appearance of the grassy fields through which it cuts as it crosses the Dividing Plains. It intersects the Wildwood Byway at the Silvercut Crossroads.
