History
Torthil was a village during the Scattered War. Rumored to be a refugee haven, Warren Drassig attacked the village but found no one. After regrouping at the city center, Warren started giving a speech to his army. He was struck by a volley of arrows at that moment and killed. After taking the throne, Warren's son Neminar attacked the village, killed every rebel and burned Torthil to the ground. Today in the ruins stands an obsidian monument to the death of Warren.
As of 836 PD, the ruins of Torthil harbor occasionally outlaws and cultists who use the ghost stories that surround this place to avoid suspicion. Around this time a treasure hunter awakened a platinum golem buried for centuries beneath a landslide in one of the nearby hills.
