The quarry was not mentioned in any of Critical Role's Exandrian campaigns.
The Mighty Nein (animated)
In the animated series, the Egelin Quarry was an actively worked deep mine in which pre-Calamity ruins had been uncovered that the Cerberus Assembly was interested in. The ruins were rumored to be the legendary tunnels of Nydas Okiro, the infamous pirate mercenary of the Golden Scythe. The Gentleman told the party that: "Nydas hoarded his most valuable treasures in his flagship, which he buried in a series of caves that he called the Inverted Vault. To prevent his enemies from finding it, he set magical traps that only he knew how to disarm." The Gentleman sent the party in search of Nydas's Arcane Compass. The group was able to evade the traps, solve the puzzles, reach the hoard, and recover the compass, along the way battling both gigantic stone warriors and a troop of Dwendalian Empire soldiers. In a pool in the ship's cavern, Fjord found the first of the Cloven Crystals, urged on by the voice of Uk'otoa.
