Description
The steelworks were built as an extension of Deepriver Mining Camp when the War of Ash and Light began. The steelworks complements and expedites the smelting process of the pre-existing blacksmiths of the camp, particularly the forging of weaponry. The steelworks functioned as a construction yard for war machines and siege weaponry during the War of Ash and Light.
" Wood and Steel " (2x58)
The Mighty Nein were informed that the mining camp and steelworks had been overrun by giants and were tasked by Professor Waccoh to clear them out in order to get the installation up and running again. As a side mission, she also wanted them to humiliate the manager, Foreman Bodo.
" Perspective " (2x59)
The Mighty Nein entered the encampment and battled three stone giants who were inside. The fight came to an abrupt end when the party was able to subdue rather than kill the giants. The giants told the Nein that they attacked the mining camp because their own home, the Braan, had been attacked and taken over by strange and horrifying creatures.
" Agreements " (2x61)
After the Mighty Nein cleared out the abyssal incursion in the Braan, they returned to the mining camp and informed the stone giants that they could safely return to their home. The Nein then told Foreman Bodo that he and his workers could return to work in the mine and steelworks.
