Geography
The Panagrip Sands are very far to the east of the Hellcatch Valley. Somewhere near them is a series of cracked canyons with intense geothermal activity.
Deserts make up approximately one-third of the overall land area of the continent of Marquet. The Panagrip Sands are considered a "sister desert" to the Rumedam Desert.
The Hablon River runs southwest from the Panagrip Sands into the Gloomed Jungles of Aeshanadoor, toward Yios.
History
The land that is now the Panagrip was once a lush jungle. According to legend, during the Calamity Gruumsh the Ruiner attempted to strike the utopian city of Cael Morrow on what was then the lushly jungled continent of Marquet with a force intended to destroy the entire continent, but he was blocked by the hero Alyxian at the last second. As a result, Marquet survived, although much of the jungle became desert.
During the Apex War the Panagrip Sands were one of the factions that encouraged the two sides of the conflict to stop fighting, given that the war wasn't benefiting anyone.
Campaign Three: Bells Hells
Hondir told Bells Hells that the upcoming Apogee Solstice was projected to be largely focused over Marquet, and the shifting leylines indicated three possible locations for its nexus: the Panagrip Sands, the Hellcatch Valley, and the ocean northward of the Oderan Wilds
Orym found markings pointing to various directions on the Veilscatter Scope that Ira Wendagoth had built. The one marked "Curiosity" pointed to the east or northeast, in roughly the same direction as the Panagrip, and the party speculated it could be pointing there. It also appeared that the group headed by Ludinus Da'leth and Otohan Thull that was apparently building a similar apparatus to the Scope had set up shop to the east, and that a round trip from Bassuras took about a week via crawler.
