History

The Agneheart family is originally from Marquet, and they have a pastoral tradition, working with animals and using a ram-like horn adorned with gold to call them in the mountains.

At some point in the early 9th century after the Divergence, a woman from this family performed a ritual on an altar using a mask to represent the Strife Emperor, receiving chain marks in her skin as a result, and tying the Betrayer God to her own offspring. She and her husband had three children, Sona, Neil, and Heera, but when the latter was young, the mother left. Since the father was always too busy Sona took care of her younger sister, who grew up liking animals more than people, and resenting her family, until she left Marquet. She started being contacted by Bane during her adventures in Issylra with the Re-Slayer's Take, gaining access to magical powers through her connection to him, and manifesting the same chain-like tattoos her mother had, marking her as the "promised one". Eventually, Heera addressed the Strife Emperor directly during a battle, asking her to help her friends in exchange for her collaboration, and he granted that wish; two nights later he designated her as the child her mother had promised him, since her siblings had renounced him, and declared she was meant to lead armies for him.
