Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures #5: Swapping Pads, Part 2

Synopsis

With Donatello and Raphael away, Genghis Frog and Napoleon Bonafrog join Leonardo and Michelangelo in New York City to keep watch for any unexpected evil schemes by the Shredder... instead, they’re met with the unexpected return of Baxter Stockman, and he’s itching to try out a prototype invention against the Turtles. The Saturday Morning adventures continue with the conclusion to the two-part arc “Swapping Pads”!

Plot

Leonardo, Michelangelo, Genghis Frog and Napolean Bonafrog are seaching New York City for Shedder but are having little luck and only finding empty stomachs and the attention of Baxter Stockman. The evil scientist decides to set a trap for the turtles and plans to use April O'Neil as bait.

Baxter kidnaps April from the Channel 6 news station and takes her to Floxy Theater, where he uses her communicator to call the Turtles. He demands they come to the theater to save their human friend. This is a challenge the turtles and frogs can avoid and fly off in the Turtle Blimp.

Once at the Floxy, Leo and Michelangelo sneak in, but are caught in Baxter's Turtle Trap. Luckily it does not affect Genghis and Napolean, because they are not turtles. The frogs are able to distract Baxter long enough for April to escape and destroy Baxter's devise. Seeing he is defeated Baxter flies off, leaving the heroes to wonder what was for dinner.

Meanwhile elsewhere, Shedder has the Zero-Matter Scalpel and Kang knows how to recharge it, so they can cut into the meteorite they stole earlier.
