Bear (animal)
There are a variety of types of bears that are generally referred to as "black bears" or "brown bears." Some northern bears sometimes exhibit blue-gray or golden-brown fur and may be referred to as "blue bears" or "golden bears."
A variety of bears exist in the Westlands.
Black and brown bears

White-faced bears
In the Dragonwall, there are the rarely-seen white-faced bears, which are black bears with white faces.
Valan Luca's Traveling Show has at least two white-faced bears trained by Latelle. They are present during both Elayne's time with the show and Mat's stint traveling with the menagerie.
Great black bear
Great black bears, also called king bears or royal bears, are very large black bears with one or more downward-pointing white chevrons across their abdomen. They are strong and dangerous enough to break the neck of a wild bull with a single swipe of a paw.
