Aleth-Loriel

Aleth-Loriel was a place during the time of the Trolloc Wars that is remembered in the legend “The Fall of Aleth-Loriel.” Moiraine claimed its fall was as a result of the marriage of Rhea and Caar al Thorin al Toren. Its location is not known. Aleth-Loriel fell as a result of Mordeth's evil in Aridhol.

Thom Merrilin told the story, among many others, in the Stag and Lion in Baerlon.

Parallels

The name seems designed to evoke similarities to Lothlórien^↗ from Tolkien's Middle-Earth.
