History
During its prime, it served as a temple to an unknown deity, with the worshipers participating in what the locals considered extreme debauchery. Eventually, the locals couldn't take it anymore and chased the worshipers away and into the forests. It's said they then tried to convert the forest spirits but with bad results. Old Erem then went unused, eventually becoming little more than a ruin.
