History

The duchy was one of the earliest realms conquered by Nilfgaard, even before it formed an Empire. By the second half of the 13th century, it had become completely Nilfgaardized.

In July 1267, the duchy was awarded to Cirilla Fiona by Emperor Emhyr var Emreis as a supplement of their engagement.

Geography

It lies far from the Imperial capital, likely in the vicinity of Rowan and Vicovaro.

  • YMLAC is an acronym for Yorkshire Museums, Libraries and Archives Council. Other possible sources of the duchy's name include इम्लाक / اِمْلاک (imlāk, Urdu for "possessions", "property") or اِمْلاق ('imlāq, Arabic for "poverty").
