Mount Carbon is the capital of the dwarven realm of Mahakam and is located in the massif. It is exclusively inhabited by dwarves and gnomes; none of the realm's halflings or bobolaks live in the city. Deep beneath the mountain are workshops, foundries, and forges where, using their advanced technology, the gnomes forge the famous Gwyhyr. The Mahakam Ale Festival is held here every 25 years; it is the only time that outsiders are allowed into Mahakam and Mount Carbon. The only entrance into the city is reached via the Langbridge.
