Markus Braibant Military Academy is situated in Nilfgaard, the capital city of the Nilfgaardian Empire. Here, the members of the noblest families of the Empire are trained to become officers in the Imperial Army. It is named after Major general Markus Braibant, who served in the Imperial Army until 1268, when he was killed during the Battle of Brenna. One of the Academy's mottos was " War to the palaces, peace to the huts "; during the Northern Wars however, the last part of the motto was totally forgotten.
