In 1267, the Aedirnian messenger Aplegatt stopped in the village while delivering news of the Brotherhood's betrayal to Foltest in Maribor. There he met the young girl Ciri, who, in a trance, foretold his death on hot sands. After Yennefer took her away, Aplegatt continued with his trip.
