History
In 1267, when Queen Meve visted Wildapel, she discovered a local issue of drowners attacking fishing boats and grabbing children. She killed the drowners and prevented any more deaths of locals. A note and a map can be found here after the battle, discussing the conditions around Hawkesburn.
