Shallow Graves

Renegades lead dramatic, difficult lives spent fighting enemies who have huge advantages in resources and numbers. Many Remade have buried more friends than they care to count — not in peaceful cemetery plots surrounded by grieving friends and family, but in hastily dug, shallow graves, witnessed only by other members of their cohort.

Every operation a Renegade undertakes in her war of attrition against the Web of Pain could be her last. Experience teaches her that tomorrow she could be the one under a couple of feet of dirt, the members of her cohort risking a few kind words in her memory before they must flee to escape their pursuers.
