Description

Southern Ward was the southeastern sector of the city of Waterdeep . It was named for the many settlers from southern Faerûn as well as its geographic location within the city. As of the Year of the Scarlet Witch, 1491 DR , only outsiders called it South Ward , according to famed author Volo in his Waterdeep Enchiridion . Interestingly, this custom changed from just the opposite, as reported by Volo in his Guide to Waterdeep written in the early 1360s DR .

The Full Cup
Tavern. One of the seediest drinking holes in Waterdeep, this battered place is used by bad-tempered drovers and carters. It's a small, dim place dominated by a long bar with stools and an impressive, but largely dustcovered, selection of bottles behind it. The city watch searches here regularly for stolen items and the like. Gulth Djanczo is the proprietor.

Berendarr's World of Words
A bookshop well in excess of a century old, owned by Master Berendarr, a shield dwarf, who is now in his dotage. Its massive shelves are tall, and many are packed with books not out in the public in fifty years or more. It has no system of cataloguing, so shopping here is a little more like treasure-hunting.

Guildhall. The entire complex still looks like a collection of warehouses and factories inside and out. The inn, tavern, wine store, winery, and brewery are directly joined inside, but a narrow courtyard separates the stables from the rest. The House of Good Spirits boasts the best and cheapest selection of liqueurs and strong drink in the entire City of Splendors.
