Monster Manual V

The last monster manual released under version 3.5, this book contains hundreds of new creatures to inflict on your players. It also hints at ideas being tested by the design staff at Wizards at the time. Included are creatures with abilities that trigger when they have taken a certain amount of damage, and cascading abilities where the effects increase upon multiple attacks.
