The Woman at Vangegaard - A Vaesen Ghost Story

Every four weeks, one of the soldiers who have rented a room at the farm Vangegaard is brutally killed. The violent deaths, which go beyond the humanly possible, have terrified the locals, and now a young soldier stands at the Society's gate: he fears he will be the next victim. What secret does the old farmhouse hold?

Dølgsmål is a series of short ghost stories for Vaesen. Dølgsmål means deeds done in secret. It is an old-fashioned word that is commonly used in Danish to mean 'giving birth in secret' (fødsel i dølgsmål) - that a woman has given birth in secret from her surroundings. From 19th century Denmark, ghost stories collected by folklorists tell of women who returns as ghosts to be reunited with the child they gave birth to in secret and subsequently lost.

The scenario is a mini-mystery designed to be played typically in one game session, usually covering a short period of time, such as a single night.
