Description
He lived alone in the forest, separate from the other elven inhabitants. He was not without company, however, as he possessed a certain power of bonding with the animals of the forest. Any animal nearby, from birds and squirrels to boars and stags, were drawn to his presence, even losing their predator-prey relationship when he was nearby.
History
As human settlement started encroaching on Yavimaya, Graddock attempted to convince them to leave by making them aware of the incredible danger of settling in Yavimaya. The humans were already under attack by the local sapient gorillas but were not convinced to withdraw. When Graddock encountered two other elves, the scout Kylor and the archer Delva, he tried to convince them not to attack the humans and revealed himself to the camp, hoping the humans would hear his warning. Instead, the humans knocked Graddock out, captured the three elves, and imprisoned them in a tent. When Graddock came to, he realized the humans were lost, and summoned squirrels to gnaw through their bonds and tent ropes, setting the human camp into chaos. Kylor killed the human mage leading the camp, and the three elves retreated to Yavimaya. The humans were thus through their actions left to fend for themselves against the incredible power of Yavimaya's protector, a battle they were certain to lose.
