Description

Lark Ojanen, a newborn leonin, is the child of Pallar, an Efravan refugee, and the niece of Zar Ojanen, a warrior among their people. The Efravan, a nomadic tribe, fled the Great Desert to escape the impending threat of the Phyrexians, an ancient and dangerous enemy. Pallar and her people sought refuge in Femeref, a city governed by a council wary of outsiders. Despite the council's reluctance, Niambi, a compassionate and insightful woman with the ability to interpret dreams, advocated for the Efravans' acceptance. She shared a vision that foretold the potential and value of the Efravan people, likening them to birds that could help heal a sick tree.

Niambi's efforts to convince the magistrate, Teshunda, of the Efravan's worth eventually bore fruit. Her warmth and the story of her own daughter's strength, combined with the arrival of Lark, symbolized hope and renewal. Teshunda, moved by the sight of the newborn and the determination of the Efravan, decided to offer them a place within Femeref. He overcame the council's fears, choosing to embrace the Efravan as potential allies rather than reject them as potential threats. Thus, Lark Ojanen's birth marked a pivotal moment of acceptance and integration for the Efravan people into Femeref.
