Ranna is a short, slim, mature woman with brown hair frizzed with gray and clearwater blue eyes. She wears reading glasses. She developed a method using phoenix feathers as an alternative to organ replacement.
In Jace's youth, Ranna's skin was peachy and flecked with freckles, her chestnut hair pulled back from her tired eyes.
History
Ranna gave birth to their son Jace in 4534 AR. After Jace's presumed death six years later, she developed an alcohol habit and she and her husband Gav Beleren split. Leaving her hospital to join the army as a field medic, she later participated in the defense of Vryn during New Phyrexia's Invasion of the Multiverse in 4562 AR. In the immediate aftermath of the Invasion, Jace planeswalked into her living room with Vraska in a desperate bid to save them both from the wounds they had suffered and the effects of compleation.
