- When Mat Cauthon exclaims in the Old Tongue around Moiraine Damodred, she remarks that the blood of Aemon is still strong in the Two Rivers. According to The Wheel of Time Companion and some The Eye of the World printings Moiraine instead referred to the blood of Arad. This makes it highly likely that Arad was a figure of high status in Manetheren, such as one of its kings.
