Beidomon

History

He was a scientific genius who doubtless would have earned the third name honorific given to public figures in the Age of Legends. His last known area of research was to try to find a sustainable form of energy for everyone. Unfortunately, the source for this universal Power was the Dark One.

He and a fellow Aes Sedai, Mierin Eronaile, created the Bore through the Pattern into the Dark One's prison. When the results of the Bore became apparent he tried to be forgotten, however he was well known to the public. Because of what he had done he committed suicide some time before the ending of the Age of Legends.

Rebirth

It has been reported that Robert Jordan stated that Beidomon had been reborn and was alive in the current Age. His assistant Maria Simons was questioned on more information on this and she said "I have not yet found anything to indicate who —if anyone— Beidomon is in the current Age, but if we come across it buried in the notes, it will be included in the encyclopedia." Since this is not in The Wheel of Time Companion, it is safe to say we have no more information on this.

It could be possible, however, that the original assertion that RJ said Beidomon was reborn in the Third Age is incorrect as there is no verifiable record of him having said so. Verifiable information from RJ is that he said that Beidomon was not still alive in the current Age as Mordeth and gave a RAFO to the idea that he might be reborn as anyone in the Third Age.
